Instructor Biography
Robert Lockwood
Robert Lockwood has been teaching college criminology and criminal justice courses at PSU Independent Study since 1998.
Prior to that, he has taught classes on criminal law, criminal procedure, juvenile law, American legal history, law and literature, and sports law at PSU. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has served as Portland State's Faculty Athletic Representative, monitoring all of the intercollegiate sports for NCAA and Big Sky Conference rules compliance. Before he joined the university faculty, he practiced criminal and mental health law.
Although he enjoyed his time in the adversarial world, he preferred helping students develop written and oral articulation skills as they examine various aspects of the law.
