Instructor Biography

Nancy Scott
Nancy has been teaching Economics courses for PSU Independent Study since 2003.

She has also been teaching Economics at Portland Community College since 1988.

Nancy earned her B.S. in economics from Southern Oregon University. She earned her Master of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics at Oregon State University.

In addition to teaching, Nancy has several years of experience in risk analysis and pricing in the commercial insurance industry.

Nancy has spent several years volunteering as a: Member of the Gala Auction Committee for the American Diabetes Association; Race official and race-volunteer coordinator for the Metro League of the Oregon Interscholastic Ski Racing Association; Member of the City of Beaverton’s Design Review Board; Merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of America; and Swim coach for St. Mary of the Valley’s grade school and middle school.
