Instructor Biography

Joe Ediger
Joe Ediger has been a faculty member of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Portland State University since 1993 and has taught Independent Study Math courses since 1995.

He received a BA in Mathematics from Bethel College, N. Newton KS in 1977 and a MS in Mathematics from Portland State University in 1994. Before coming to PSU, Joe was a high school and middle school Math teacher for a total of 12 years.

Joe is a part of the Mathematics Education group at PSU and supervises the Graduate Certificate program and the minor in Mathematics for Middle School Teachers. He also teaches courses in Mathematics for Elementary Teachers and a variety of other Math courses. In his spare time (and when finances allow), Joe enjoys traveling with his wife to Europe (Austria is a favorite). They also enjoy coaxing fruit and vegetables from their backyard garden.
