This course is an introduction to the considerations involved in designing and producing Web sites. Aesthetic, content and function will be discussed in relation to opportunities and limitations provided by current Web technologies. The history of the Web will be covered as it has evolved to meet changing demands. We will review and critique many Web sites in light of the issues raised during the course. Students will participate in small groups to create model Web sites based on the techniques presented.
