Candlelight Vigil and walk to Lincoln Statue
Thursday, February 12: Candlelight Vigil and short walk to the George
Waters Fite Lincoln Statue in the South Park Block to commemorate the
birth of Abraham Lincoln. Meet at the PSU History Department lounge at
5:50pm. Cramer Hall 441
Portland State University commemorates the Lincoln Bientennial with a
full week of events including keynote lecture, readings, movies and a
candlelight vigil.
The PSU Friends of History is presenting a full week of events
starting February 9th to kick off a state-wide celebration of the
Bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln's birthday. All events are taking
place in the PSU HIstory Department in Cramer Hall (1721 SW Broadway)
unless otherwise noted and are free and open to the PSU community and
the public.
