Lincoln Statue Bicentennial Dedication
Date: Saturday, June 20th
Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Lincoln Statue, Portland Park Blocks between Main and Madison
All participants: please park under the 1515 Market Bldg. Parking entrance is located off Market Street between 5th and 6th streets. For those who have a role, please gather at the entrance door to the elevator on 2nd floor parking by 9:30. All others please bring your family and friends and meet us at the statue.
Purpose: To dedicate a memorial stone which will be placed at the foot of the statue and which commemorates the Bicentennial of Lincoln’s birthday.

10:00 Mike Burton: Introduces the program, relates Lincoln Links to Oregon and the activities of the Oregon Lincoln Bicentennial, thanks participants
10:10-10:15 Doug Tracy: Plays two Lincoln tunes
10:15-0:18 Burton: Introduces Jack Berry
10:18-10:25 Jack Berry: Jack relates the story of his great grandfather William Finus Berry and his relationship to Lincoln. He was his great great grandfather's half-brother. Jack’s daughter Anna found a menu from the Lincoln-Berry store (signed by both partners) at an estate sale and there is nothing on it but lodging and liquor
10:25 Burton: Introduce Chelsea Deloney
10:25-10:32 Chelsea Deloney: Explains Juneteenth and its meaning and introduces President Lincoln
10:32- Sons of Union Veterans escort President Lincoln (Steve Holgate) front and center.
10:33-10:40 Steve Hogate: Recites Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address
10:40-10:45: Piper: "Amazing Grace"
