Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB)

The OLBC is working with OPB on two programming efforts. A committee of the OLBC will draft a "script" for a possible Oregon Experience program to be aired during the bicentennial. This program will feature Lincolns "links" to Oregon, such as the passage of the Morrill Land Act, The Homestead Act, and the Pacific Railroad Act; Fort Stevens, Baker County and all the “named” Lincoln places in Oregon. OPB radio will also air a series of "Lincoln Moments" two minute vignettes spoken by Oregon personalities including the governor, Senator Mark Hatfield, and other notables. These "moments" will be broadcast through out 2008-09.
