Lincoln and Darwin
Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln share the same birthday, February 12, 1809. Both had a profound affect on the thinking of the time and the views they held remain both controversial and significant today. But other than the common birthday, Lincoln and Darwin shared little in common. While Lincoln was born and raised as a relatively poor farm boy, Darwin was born into wealth and attended the finest schools; Lincoln was self taught.
