Lincoln's Birthday and Memorial Day
"Lincoln's Birthday and Memorial Day : the History of two important American Holidays" is a free PSU Civil War Round Table program scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in Cramer Hall, Room 447 starting at 7:30pm. History professor Matthew Dennis, author of the best-selling book Red, White and Blue Letter Days: An American Calendar, will dispel all rumors and dismantle the legends surrounding the founding of Abraham Lincoln's Birthday, the interesting origins of Memorial Day and more at this fun and educational meeting of the CWRT at Portland State University.
